Instructions
- While using the buttons, use the viraama/halanta (diacritic in the center) to omit the inherent sound a from the end of a vyanjana. A viraama is needed between two vyanjanas.
Example: for पूर्ण (pūrṇa), use: p + ū + r + viraama + ṇ + a
- Type the respective Devanaagari letters using the corresponding phonetically similar letters on the keyboard.
For example, type a, i, u, e, ai, o and au respectively for अ, इ, उ, ए, ऐ, ओ and औ.
- Type aa/A, ii/I, and uu/U for the deergha svaras ā, ī and ū.
- Use capitals to type the letters subscribed with a dot below: ṭ, ṭh, ḍ, ḍh, ṇ, ḷ and ṣ.
- Type G for ṅ & J for ñ.
- Type sh or ç for ś.
- Type , for deergha (ा).
- Type [ for viraama/halanta (्).
- Type ] for Gm (ꣳ/ग्ं).
- Type L (capitals) for ळ्.
- Type -r, -ri, -l and -li respectively for ṛ, ṝ, l and l̄.
- Type M for ं (anusvaara) & MM for ँ (chandra bindu)
- Type H for ः (visarga).
- Type = for ़ (nukta): dot below.
- Type _ for ॒ (anudaatta), __ for ॑ (udaatta) and ___ for ᳚ (nigaadha).
- Type . or | for '।' (danda) and .. or || for '॥' (double danda).
- Type ; for ऽ (avagraha).
- Type O, OM (capitals) for ॐ.
- Type x to make a half consonnant; example: type sx for स्.
- Type xx to prevent conjunct forms; example: type kxxS for क्ष्.
